Freshman Paige Williams Advances to Finals in National Meet

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - University of Tampa runners Paige Williams and Laura Woznicki each participated in the 3,000 meter race at the 2007 NCAA II Track & Field Championships. A strong prelim showing by Williams allowed her to advance to the finals.

The freshman from Apollo Beach turned in a personal best 10:03 performance in the prelims to place third and earn a spot in the finals. Williams ran a time of 10:11 in the finals, where she placed 11th in the nation in the event.
