HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: Tampa started the match with a bang by winning the first four points with two kills by Tess Schrenger. The Spartans would keep up the pressure with back-to-back aces by Ana Rivera to bring the score to 9-2. The Tars would make a bid to comeback, but Connor Rahn would record a big kill to stop any momentum. Tampa would hit an efficient .360 in a convincing set one win. | Score: 25-14 Tampa
Second Set: Rahn got off to another hot start with two kills out of Tampa's first three points, though the Spartans trailed by as many as four points early. Tampa would then flip the script and win 10 of 11 points with multiple kills by Schrenger and a Laney Perdue ace to go ahead 15-10. The set would tighten up when Jenna Glaudel would come up with a big kill to bring up set point. Tampa would close out the elongated set with another ace from Rivera. | Score 29-27 Tampa
Third Set: Tampa would start the third set well once again as multiple kills from Nathaly Perez and multiple assists from Rachel Gregg helping Tampa build a 8-2. Tampa would maintain a steady three to five point advantage for most of the set, and were finally able to close out the set with a solo block by Schrenger followed by back-to-back kills from Rahn to close out the match. | Score 25-22 Tampa
