Argos Down as Spartans Prevail in Four-Set Win
TAMPA, Fla. — The No. 3 University of Tampa volleyball team defeated No. 19 University of West Florida in four sets on Saturday, 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 28-26, at Bob Martinez Athletic Center. Tampa's strong defensive performance was highlighted by 16 total blocks, while their offense hit at a .270 clip. West Florida managed to take the third set, but Tampa's resilience in the extended fourth set secured the victory.
First Set
- Tampa capitalized on early errors by West Florida, moving to a 10-7 lead with blocks from Nathaly Perez and Jenna Davis.
- The Argonauts rallied back to tie at 15-15, aided by consecutive service aces from Ana Colon.
