Defense of National Title to go Through Washburn
TOPEKA, Kans. - The University of Tampa volleyball team is set to continue its quest of a repeat of the NCAA II national championship, as it meets host Washburn University on Thursday at 8:30 p.m., at Lee Arena.
Making its third consecutive NCAA Elite Eight appearance, the Spartans are coming off their 11th South Region title in program history. Overall, UT is 10-9 in the Elite Eight as it won the NCAA tourney in 2006 and advanced to the national semifinals in 2005.
