Washburn Chosen as Host of NCAA Elite Eight
TOPEKA, Kans. - The University of Tampa will attempt to defend their 2006 volleyball national championship in the NCAA II Elite Eight, which was awarded to Washburn University on Monday.
The Spartans are set to meet the host school on Thursday, November 29, at Washburn's Lee Arena. Each of the eight regional winners will play on the first day, with the winners advancing to the national semifinals on November 30. The national championship is scheduled for Saturday, December 1.
Tickets may be purchased for $12 (adults) and $5 (students). CSTV will also offer a webcast of each Elite Eight match.
