Tampa Selected to Host NCAA II South Regional Tournament
The 2nd ranked University of Tampa volleyball team has been selected to host the NCAA II South Regional volleyball tournament for the third straight year.
With an overall record of 28-2, the Spartans were able to build a record of 21-1 in the South Region, which was good enough to earn the number one seed. This is the Spartans 23rd appreance in the NCAA tournament. This is also Tampa's 15th time hosting the regionals.
Tampa is trying to win the the south region and advance to the Elite Eight for the third straight season, including last year's national championship victory. This year's team is a veteran group with plenty of post season experience. Seniors Margeaux Sinibaldi, Erin Clark, and Katelen Dixon will look to lead the Spartans back to the Elite Eight.
