Spartan Duo Nets SSC Honors
ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa volleyball players Erin Clark and Margeaux Sinibaldi have been honored by the Sunshine State Conference for their performances last week. Clark was named the Offensive Player of the Week as Sinibaldi was the defensive recipient following a perfect week for the top-ranked Spartans.
Clark, a senior from Tampa, led the top-ranked Spartans to a trio of key SSC wins last week, averaging 4.6 kills per game and hitting at an impressive .464 clip. In a win against Saint Leo, Clark tallied 14 kills with a .367 hitting percentage. Handing Nova Southeastern its first conference loss of the season, she registered 13 kills without a single error, recording a sizzling .867 attack percentage. Clark rounded out the week with 19 kills and a .385 hitting percentage versus Lynn. For the week, she also averaged 1.2 blocks, 1.0 dig, and 0.2 assists and aces per game.
Sinibaldi, a senior libero Venice, Fla., averaged 5.8 digs per game to help limit three SSC opponents to a .141 hitting percentage. In a win against Saint Leo, Sinibaldi tallied 14 digs. She then notched 19 digs in a victory over Nova Southeastern and concluded the week with 25 digs versus Lynn.
This marks the third SSC weekly award for Clark this season as Sinibaldi has received the honor twice.
