Spartans Enjoy Third Consecutive Week as Nation’s Top Team
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Tampa volleyball team remains the nation's top team in the latest CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Spartans received 27 of the 36 first-place votes to edge Cal State San Bernardino (4) and Minnesota-Duluth (5) as UT has now been the top-ranked team for three consecutive weeks.
UT has now been represented in the national top-25 for 154 consecutive weeks. This marks the nation's second longest current streak as Central Missouri State holds the current honors. The defending national champions have also been ranked as the nation's top team for a total of 15 weeks in program history, including four in the 2007 season.
