Tilde Morin Honored With Prestigious Academic All-American Selection
TAMPA, Fla. — University of Tampa women's swimmer Tilde Morin has been named a 2025-26 Academic All-America® selection, as announced by College Sports Communicators. Morin earned second-team honors in NCAA Division II, recognizing her combined excellence in the pool and in the classroom.
A senior from Halmstad, Sweden, Morin holds a 3.98 GPA while pursuing a double major in International Business and Management and Environmental Studies. She is one of just nine Division II student-athletes selected to the second team and one of two from the Sunshine State Conference recognized on the squad.
Morin has been a consistent contributor to Tampa's success, specializing in sprint freestyle events. A 2025 All-American, she has earned multiple All-America honors throughout her career, including relay accolades in the 200 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, and 200 Medley Relay in 2024. She also garnered All-America recognition in 2023.
In conference competition, Morin earned Third-Team All-Sunshine State Conference honors during the 2025-26 season and was previously named Second-Team All-SSC in 2022-23.
Her academic achievements are equally impressive, highlighted by CSC Academic All-America® recognition, CSCAA Scholar All-America honors (2024-25), a perfect 4.0 GPA on the 2023 Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, and the 2023 Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award.
Since 1952, the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, has recognized the nation's top student-athletes for excellence both academically and athletically through its Academic All-America® program. Sponsored by Capital One, the honor requires student-athletes to be at least in their second year of residence, maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA, and be a starter or key contributor.
Nominees are selected by institutional athletic communications staffs, advance through All-Region voting, and are ultimately placed on the national ballot voted on by CSC members across the country.
Morin's selection adds to a strong tradition of academic success among University of Tampa student-athletes. The Spartans have now produced 62 Academic All-Americans across all sports, including five from women's swimming.
Tampa's all-time honorees span multiple programs, led by volleyball (13), baseball (11), and women's basketball (9), highlighting the department's continued commitment to excellence in both competition and the classroom.
