Continued Success for Spartans Swimmers on Day Three

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams finished day three of the 2018 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships with another All-American effort as both teams continue to rank in the standings.

The Spartan women concluded the day at No. 13 with 88 points, while the men sit at No. 24 with 19 points.

UT Men's Highlights

• The 200 Fly included Tampa's Victor Philaire, who finished in 1:50.84 to be 21st overall.
• In the 800 Free Relay, the Spartans were 14th with a time of 6:37.66 from the team of Cameron Newton, Daniel Jacob, Marc Caron and Forrest Lundy.

UT Women's Highlights

• McKenzie Street was sixth in the 100 Breast consolation final after being clocked at 1:03.41.
• In the 200 Fly, Victoria Horsman was 26th with a 2:06.17 time.
• UT had its top performance of the day as the 800 Free Relay team of Hana van Loock, Sophie Long, Katie Bayes and Gabbie Gauntt were fourth with a time of 7:23.27.
