Spartan Men and Women Claim Sunshine State Championship Victories

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams both claimed top honors at the Sunshine State Championships, which was hosted by Rollins College over the weekend.

The women finished with 995.5 points as they defeated Rollins, Florida Southern, Saint Leo and Eckerd. The Spartan men were equally as impressive with 997.5 points in victories over Rollins, Florida Southern, Saint Leo and Embry-Riddle.

The Spartans will now focus on the NCAA Championships, which is slated for March 14-17 in Buffalo, N.Y.
