Florida Tech opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Rebecca Storr capitalized on a pass from Sara Batchadji to give the Panthers the early lead. Tampa responded with several promising opportunities, including shots from Tara McDonald and Lilly Nava, but the Florida Tech goalkeeper held firm to preserve the 1–0 advantage at halftime.

Tampa continued to push forward in the closing stages, outshooting Florida Tech 11–6 in the second half and finishing with 14 total attempts, but could not convert their chances into goals.
