Spartans Ranked in NSCAA Women's Soccer Division II Preseason Poll
Tampa is ranked 15th in the Top 25 after finishing last season in the NCAA Tournament South Region Final
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its national preseason rankings for Men's and Women's NCAA Division I, II, III teams this Tuesday afternoon. Traditionally, the rankings include the top 25 teams from each division.
The University of Tampa Women's Soccer Team is 15th in the rankings. The Spartans are coming off a season in which they finished runner's up in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament and reached the NCAA Tournament, making it all the way to the South Region Final before falling to Barry 1-0 in double overtime.
This season, UT will face off against 6th ranked Barry in Miami Shores on Saturday, October 15th and against 18th ranked North Alabama in Florence, Ala. on Sunday, September 11. Teams that were named as also receiving votes that are on Tampa's schedule are the University of West Florida, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Armstrong State.

Tampa will begin their 2016 season at home on Thursday, September 1st against the Georgian Court University Lions at 4 p.m.
