Shelby Kuni Ties School Record

Searcy, Ark. - The third-ranked University of Tampa Women's Soccer dismantled the Lady Bison of Harding University by a score of 6-0. The Spartans improve their record to 6-1 on the season as the Lady Bison fall to 3-5.

Shelby Kuni tied the school record for individual single game goals with four. The record was originally set by Tai Kirklin against Webber College in August of 1999; Samantha Robinson tied the record against rival Florida Southern in October of 2005. Kuni also added an assist as she led the Spartans offensively.

Marissa Bernard tallied her third goal of the season and added a pair of assists while Ashley Flateland scored her second goal of the season. Courtney Evans was the high assists leader with three on the night. Maria Mohammed, Lauren Hammond and Alicia Wyman each also added an assist as well

The Spartans outshot the Lady Bison 21-4 and took a total of six corner kicks to the Lady Bison two.

Shannon Aitken posted her fourth shutout of the season with four saves from a pesky Lady Bison team.

The Spartans are back in action on Sunday in Searcy, Arkansas as they meet Quachita Baptist. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm ET.
