Peyton Howell Tabbed USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Player of the Year
SPARKS, Md. - For the second consecutive year, Peyton Howell has been named Preseason Player and Attacker of the Year by USA Lacrosse Magazine.
Howell was awarded as last year's National Player of the Year, and helped lead defending NCAA champion Tampa with 93 goals and 116 points.
Howell was also recognized in 2025 as the Sunshine State Conference's Athlete of the Year — an award that considers athletes from all sports. It was a worthy honor, too, as Howell has helped guide Tampa to a 40-4 record and back-to-back NCAA titles since transferring from Louisville prior to the 2024 season.
Howell, who is also the Preseason Attacker of the Year, is joined by a handful of others who were named as the best at their respective positions on Wednesday. See them all here.
