Spartans Set for Final Regular Season Test Against Sailfish
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – With the postseason on the horizon, the No. 1 ranked University of Tampa women's lacrosse team looks to close out its regular season in dominant fashion as they travel to Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday evening.

Series History: Tampa holds a commanding 7–0 all-time record over Palm Beach Atlantic, with the two programs meeting annually since 2018. The Spartans have scored over 20 goals in five of those contests and have held the Sailfish to single-digit scoring in five matchups, boasting an average margin of victory of 17 goals.
About the Spartans: The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team looks to close out its regular season on a high note as it heads south for a matchup against Palm Beach Atlantic. Tampa is coming off a statement 17–8 win over No. 6 Lynn on Senior Day, marking their ninth victory over a nationally ranked opponent this season. Savvy Barbosa continues to anchor the defense, with 14 saves against Lynn, the third-highest single-game total in SSC play this season. She leads the conference in both save percentage with .523 and a goals-against average of 7.57. On the offensive side, Peyton Howell's 10-point outing against Lynn stands as Tampa's only double-digit performance this season and ranks as the fourth-highest in the SSC.
About the Sailfish: After opening the season with a 6–3 start, Palm Beach Atlantic has dropped six straight, all against Sunshine State Conference opponents. Including a non-conference loss to Embry-Riddle, the Sailfish are 0–7 against Sunshine State matchups, all of which have come against nationally ranked teams. In conference play, PBA is allowing nearly 21 goals per game while being outscored by an average of over 12 goals per contest.
