About the Spartans: Tampa is making its first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance and will take on Regis for just the third time in the program's existence on Thursday night. The last time these two squads matched up was back in 2022 and prior to that was in 2019. Regis holds a 2-0 record all-time versus Tampa, however, both games have been one-goal margins. The Spartans have faired well away from Naimoli this season sporting an impressive 9-2 record on the road and a 1-0 record in neutral site matchups. UT has given up 10 goals or fewer in three consecutive games as the defense and goalkeeper, Alex Walling have dominated. Regis and Tampa share three common opponents played this season, two of which are in the Sunshine State Conference in Florida Tech and Florida Southern. The other team is UIndy.
About the Rangers: The Rangers advanced to its program's third semifinal appearance since going back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019 after defeating Maryville University. The squad is led by Bailey Truex and Lily Ferguson who were both recently selected as IWLCA All-Americans. Regis has a perfect record away from home turf and have just one loss this season. As mentioned before, Regis and Tampa have played three common opponents in Florida Southern, Florida Tech, and UIndy this season. The Rangers went 3-0 in these matchups with the Spartans going 4-1 having played FSC three times.
