Sutter Earns IWLCA National Player of the Week
SPARKS, MD. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association has named their National Players of the Week. The University of Tampa's Bridget Sutter has been named defensive player of the week.
Sutter came off the bench for Tampa and helped the Spartans to a 15-14 overtime victory against then #22 Saint Leo. Saint Leo scored their first 10 goals in the first 33:37 before Sutter subbed into the game. The Lions only added four more goals, while the senior goalkeeper recorded seven saves. Tampa improved to 6-1 and is ranked sixth in the Division II Coaches Poll.
