Spartans Conclude Play at Nova Southeastern Invite
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - In its second tournament of the 2012-13 season, the University of Tampa women's golf team placed 15th at the Nova Southeastern Invitational. The event was played at the PGA National-Palmer course.
Nova Southeastern captured the team title with a 589 as UT's two-round score totaled 706. The top round for head coach Missey Jones' squad was a 344 in Monday's round.
Kendra Bishop was Tampa's top golfer, shooting a 158 to finish 28th overall. Bishop's top round was a 76 on Monday, also marking a team-best showing.
Also golfing for UT were Brittany Bradshaw (178), Michelle Stein (179), Corrine Camp (191) and Allie Steffens (205).
The Spartans return to action on Oct. 15-16 at the Saint Leo Invitational at Lake Jovita.
