Women’s Basketball Comes In At No. 9 in USA TODAY Poll

LILBURN, Ga. - The University of Tampa women's basketball team remains ranked in the top 10, as they are ranked ninth in the USA Today Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The Spartans picked up two victories this week, as they defeated Warner University 66-48, and Saint Martin's University 72-59.

UT dropped their first contest of the year in Bellingham, Washington as they fell to Western Washington University 56-85.

Junior, Juliana Cavallaro leads the way with 15.2 points per game, and 8.5 rebounds per game. Junior Ellen Nurmi and senior Aisha Rodney each are averaging double figures at 10.3 points per game a piece.

Tampa will be back in action Saturday, as they travel to Fort Lauderdale to take on the No. 4, Nova Southeastern Sharks. Game is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM.
