Double-Double Nets Taylor McVey Basketball Player of the Week Honor

WINTER PARK, Fla. - Tampa sophomore center Taylor McVey has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week Presented by VALIC.

McVey recorded a double-double with 18 points and 19 rebounds in Tampa's 61-46 victory over Armstrong Atlantic. Her 19 rebounds tie her for second all-time in program history. McVey finished the game shooting 50-percent from the field. She finished the first half with seven points and nine rebounds. McVey pulled down eight offensive boards and 11 defensive rebounds in the contest.
