Moriah Hodge Nets SSC Player of the Week Honors
ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa junior forward Moriah Hodge has been named Sunshine State Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending November 27.
Hodge, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, led the Spartans to three in-region wins, including a pair of road victories at the North Alabama Classic. She averaged 19.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game.
Hodge kicked off the week with a double-double, notching 16 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and block, and a steal in a 67-51 win over Puerto Rico-Bayamon. She then registered 27 points, five rebounds, and four steals in a 65-63 victory at North Alabama. She concluded the week with 15 points, five boards, four assists, and a steal in a 79-69 win over West Georgia.
In three outings, Hodge shot a solid 61 percent (22-for-36) from the field, 67 percent (6-for-9) from three-point range, and 67 percent (8-for-12) at the free throw line.
