SSC Women’s Basketball Championship Pairings Announced
ORLANDO, Fla. - The 16th-ranked University of Tampa women's basketball team had known for a week that it would own the No. 1 seed in the 2010 BlueCross and BlueShield of Florida Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Championship, but it was not until regular season play concluded on Saturday that the Spartans learned that their opponent for Wednesday's contest will be Nova Southeastern. The quarterfinal contest will tip at 7 p.m. at the Martinez Center.
The winner of the game will advance to the semifinals to be held on Saturday, March 6 at the Don Taft University Center on the campus of Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and will play the winner of the Florida Southern/Lynn game.
The Spartans swept the season series between the two schools. UT won the meeting in Tampa by a 61-49 margin before defeating the Sharks 62-36 at NSU.
Tickets will be available at the gate for $10 (adults), $8 (seniors) and $5 (students).
