HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE:
Holly Steffus got the start in what was a game started on Friday afternoon, but suspended in the bottom of the third inning due to rain. Steffus was effecient during her three innings on Friday afternoon, giving up only two baserunners in tough conditions with steady rain. Tampa's offense would pick up where they had left off the previous game as well, as they would plate four runs in the first two innings to take a lead into the suspension. With the timing of the suspension of the game, Tampa would be first to hit come the start of action this afternoon. However, they would not be thrown off, as they came out and immediately scored three more runs to take a 7-0 lead. Steffus would return to the circle, despite the delay, for the fourth inning, and she would retire the side easily. The Spartans would make their big push to get a run rule in the fourth, as they would bat around on their way to six more runs to give the Spartans the decisive 13-0 margin.
