Bottom 1st
With two outs, Lauren Fantone took the chance and scored on a wild pitch to put the Spartans up one early | 1-0 (Spartans).
Top 4th
After a series of events, Mary Beth Feldman, got into trouble giving up crucial hits. So Mariah Galhouse came in an attempt to get the Spartans out of trouble. However, Lynn's Dominguez scored off a sac bunt to give the Knights' their first run | 1-1.
Bottom 5th
The Spartans retaliated the next inning and a half with the top of the lineup sparking momentum into the offense. Corynn Miner hit a two-RBI double to right field | 3-1 (Spartans). The Fighting Knights failed to execute an infield fly; Lexie Chevalier scored on the play | 4-1 (Spartans). An overthrown throw by the Knights shortstop, which allowed Chevalier to score. | 5-1 (Spartans).
