Spartans Blowout Sailfish in SSC Matchup
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa softball team took the first game of three against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Top 1st
The Spartans set the tone from the gate with Corynn Miner getting on base by error that scored Mariah Galhouse, the game's first run. A single up the middle by Lexie Chevalier scored Lauren Fantone extending the Spartan's lead to 2-0. A wild pitch scored Miner while Chevalier advanced to second. | 3-0 (Spartans)
Top 5th
As the Sailfish remained quiet, Stephanie Balmer started off the inning with a leadoff solo-home run left field. | 4-0 (Spartans)
Top 6th
Lilly Keister started the inning with the Spartans scoring spree with an RBI single scoring Chevalier after an error by the second baseman. | 5-0 (Spartans)
Balmer was next up and hit yet another RBI single that scored Kiester, now a six-point lead to the Spartans. Fantone then hit a 3RBI triple to extend the lead further. | 9-0 (Spartans)
Sam Winberg, hit a grounder to first to score Fantone, who previously was at third. | 10-0 (Spartans)
In her second at-bat of the inning, Chevalier hit an RBI double to center-field to seal the deal for the Spartans. | 11-0 (Spartans)
