Spartans Named to NFCA Top 25 Ahead of Matchup Against Tritons
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Tampa softball team has been named to the NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll in the 17th spot as released today. The Spartans went 3-1 last weekend against ranked opponents, the former No.14, now No.11 Auburn-Montgomery Warhawks, and the former No.7, current No.2 Valdosta State Blazers at the Eagle Classic.
Off to a 9-0 start, the University of Texas at Tyler is the unanimous No. 1 in the first NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll of the 2022 season. The Patriots, opening 9-0 for the 12th time since 2007, received all 16 first-place votes and 400 points
The 2022 NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the eight NCAA regions. Records reflect games played through Feb. 13.
