Deanna Henriott Becomes Second Spartan All-American

ROLLA, Mo. - Daktronics announced its 2011 All-American teams for softball, tabbing University of Tampa pitcher Deanna Henriott as a second-team choice. Henriott becomes the first UT All-American since Lacinda Norman in 2003, and just the second in program history.

Henriott, a record-breaking junior pitcher from St. Petersburg, Fla., dominated competition throughout the season with three-no-hitters, including one perfect game to go with new school records in wins, strikeouts, shutouts and ERA. She finished with a 25-4 record and 0.71 ERA along with 281 strikeouts in 198.1 innings of work.

Her resume for this season also includes a first-team all-Sunshine State Conference selection, first-team Daktronics all-South Region selection, second-team NFCA all-South Region, three SSC Pitcher of the Week honors and a first-team academic all-district award.
