Deanna Henriott Ranks Among Best In Several National Categories
INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA announced its statistics leaders for Division II softball, with University of Tampa pitcher Deanna Henriott near the top of every pitching category.
The junior from St. Petersburg, Fla., currently stands at third in ERA (0.65), ninth in strikeouts per seven innings (10.0), fourth in victories (24), 12th in saves (3), 44th in walks allowed per seven innings (1.37), fifth in hits allowed per seven innings (3.42), third in shutouts (11) and seventh in strikeouts (264).
The Spartan ace also has three no-hitters this season and has already set new UT single-season school records in ERA, strikeouts per seven innings, wins, shutouts and strikeouts.
On the Tampa career charts, Henriott is third in ERA (1.17), first in strikeouts per seven innings (9.18), wins (66), saves (9), shutouts (28) and strikeouts (775). She is also fourth in complete games (70) and innings pitched (591.0).
To be eligible for the NCAA rankings, a player must appear in at least 75 percent of her team's games and pitchers must have one inning pitched for every game played.
