Tampa Ranked 10th In Latest NFCA Poll
STARKVILLE, Miss. - The University of Tampa softball team continues to climb in the national poll moving up three spots in the NFCA Division II poll to make an appearance at No. 10 in the current release.
Currently 25-3, Tampa is off to its best start in school history and has also set the program record with 12 consecutive victories this season.
Last week the Spartans grasped the No.13 spot in the poll and recently took a jump after sweeping Florida Tech in a three game series while also posting two wins against Hillsdale College on Monday including a no-hitter pitched by Tampa phenom, Deanna Henriott to capture her third of the season.
Tampa is one of five NCAA South Region teams as Alabama-Huntsville (2), Valdosta State (4), Arkansas-Monticello (7) and Rollins (17) also appear in the top-25.
The Spartans hit the field tonight for double-header series against Webber University with games beginning at 6 p.m. and will conclude the week at Saint Leo with games slated for Friday at 6 p.m. with a double header Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
