Spartans Move Up In National Poll
STARKVILLE, Miss. - After making its first appearance of the season in last week's top-25 poll, The University of Tampa softball team has moved up one spot to No. 15 in the current NFCA Division II poll.
Tampa is one of five NCAA South Region teams as Valdosta State (3), Alabama-Huntsville (4), Arkansas-Monticello (11) and Rollins (17) also appear in the top-25.
Currently 16-2, Tampa is off to its best start in school history and has also set the program record with 12 consecutive victories this season. UT is coming off a 2-0 shutout victory over current No. 24 Bloomsburg.
The Spartans return to action on Wednesday at home as it hosts North Carolina-Pembroke in a doubleheader that is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
