Pair Of Shutouts Leads Van Landingham To SSC Honors
ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa softball pitcher Heather Van Landingham was honored by the Sunshine State Conference as the SSC Pitcher of the Week for the period ending on Mar. 21.
Van Landingham, a senior from Tampa, tallied a 2-1 weekly record
with a pair of complete-game shutouts in an SSC series sweep
against Lynn.
In a 2-0 victory in the series opener, she surrendered five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.
In another 2-0 win in the second game of the series, Van
Landingham permitted just two hits and three walks with six
strikeouts.
For the week, she surrendered three earned runs on 11 hits and nine walks over 21.0 innings of work. She struck out 18 in three complete appearances and notched a 1.00 ERA.
