Tampa’s Jess Butler Picks Up Women’s Cross Country Weekly Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa senior Jess Butler has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the period ending October 9.

Butler, a native of Coral Springs, Fla., finished second of 269 runners at the Disney Classic. Butler posted a career-best 5K time of 18:17.60 to lead the Spartans to a first-place finish in the 28-team field.
