MORROW, Ga. — The No. 7 University of Tampa men's soccer team took on their first road test of the season against No. 13 North Georgia.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half:
The Spartans struck first again as Rodrigo Lopes netted his second goal of the season off an assist from Christian Fairchild. The remainder of the first half was back and forth with each team recording 10 shots. However Alex Hare and the Spartan defense remained unbeaten, as Hare recorded three saves on three shots on goal.
Score: 1-0 Tampa
Second Half:
The Spartans spent most of the second half defending their lead while trying to add to it. The Spartans defended valiantly and faced increasing pressure as the minutes wound down. Eventually in the 89th minute, Tampa's defense succumbed to the pressure and let in the game tying goal. Tampa's defense was able to hold North Georgia to one goal despite being outshot 10-3 in the second half.
Score: 1-1
