HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The Spartans started the match on the front foot, creating multiple opportunities before grabbing the early lead via a 7th minute goal by Felix Poschmann. The Spartans' strong start continued as Rodrigo Lopes netted his first goal of the season off an assist from Christian Fairchild to put the Spartans up 2-0. The Argonauts quickly responded though, by adding a goal of their own in the 22nd minute. The rest of the half was back and forth with both teams creating chances.
Score: 2-1 Tampa
SECOND HALF: The Spartans repeated their effort from the first half to start the second as Oscar Warne netted his first goal as a Spartan off the assist from Viggo Svedin. The Spartans spent much of the rest of the game defending well as the Argonauts tried to mount their comeback. However, the Spartans' defense held strong as the Argonauts failed to put another goal past Alex Hare in the Spartan goal.
Final: 3-1 Tampa
