Adam Forster Named SSC Defensive Player of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa men's soccer goalkeeper Adam Forster was named the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Defensive Player of the Week, the second of his career.
Forster received Defensive Player of the Week honors after nine saves in two games last week. He faced 13 shots in the match, recording four saves in the 1-0 win over the Saint Leo lions. In the 1-0 victory over the Rollins Tars, Forster registered five saves, again facing 13 total shots in the match. The two shutouts last week brought Forster to a total of nine shutouts on the season.
Sunshine State Conference athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of October 18 – 24, 2021. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
