No. 16 Spartans Return Home to Face No. 3 Fighting Knights on Alumni Night
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's soccer team will play host for the top-25 matchup against the Lynn Fighting Knights on alumni night.
The Matchup: Tampa Spartans (8-2, 5-1 SSC) vs. Lynn Fighting Knights (9-2, 5-1 SSC)
Date/Time: Saturday, October 16 at 6 p.m.

About the Spartans: The Spartans are returning home after a 1-0 win over the Nova Southeastern Sharks. Omar Thali scored his eighth goal of the season after netting a penalty kick in the third minute of the match. The Spartans worked tirelessly defensively to keep the lead over the Sharks for the remainder of the game. Adam Forster set a new career-high in saves, recording seven in the match.
About the Fighting Knights: The Fighting Knights head to Tampa after a 2-0 loss over Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish, their first SSC loss this season; the Sailfish netted a goal in each half. The Fighting Knights had several opportunities, registering ten shots and four corners but could not get on the board. Goalkeeper Patrick Nettekoven recorded four saves in the match, bringing his season total to 22.
All-Time Series: Lynn leads the series 14-24-5. The last meeting between the two teams took place at the Lynn University Campus in October 2019, with the Spartans falling to 3-2.
Tickets: General Admission ticket prices for all Tampa regular season athletic events are $5. Youth (ages 12 and under) are admitted free of charge. Students and faculty/staff are admitted free with a valid UT ID.
