Spartans Ready to Host SSC Tilt

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team returns home to redeem themselves in a conference matchup.

The Matchup: No. 8 University of Tampa (8-2,2-1 SSC) vs. Florida Tech (5-4,1-1 SSC)

Series History: The Spartans hold an impressive 16-1 overall series record against the Panthers, boasting a 9-1 streak over the last 10 meetings. 

About the Spartans: Tampa comes into the game following their second loss of the season on Saturday agaisnt number thirteen ranked Rollins on the road. The Spartans are now 2-1 in SSC conference play, with an overall record of 8-2. The Tampa offense averages 16 goals per game, while the Tampa defense causing 100 turnovers so far this season. The Spartans are looking for redemption against Florida Tech on Wednesday. 

About the Panther: The Panthers are coming into the matchup following a thrilling 13-12 overtime win against Lynn on Saturday. Florida Tech is 1-1 in SSC conference play on the season, with the loss coming at the hands of the Spartans earlier this year. The Panthers average 41.6 shots per game and boast a 2-2 record on the road. Florida Tech is looking to carry on the momentum from their last game to the one in Tampa on Wednesday.
