Tampa Climbs One Spot in USILA Coaches Poll
In the latest USILA Coaches Poll, the University of Tampa was ranked the No. 8 best team in the nation.
TAMPA, Fla. – In the USILA Division II Coaches poll announced on Monday, April 9th, the University of Tampa men's lacrosse program was tabbed the No. 8 best team in the nation.
Last week, Tampa defeated SSC rival, the Florida Southern Moccasins, by a final score of 15-9. The team was then scheduled to compete against the No. 6 Saint Leo Lions, but due to weather, the game was postponed. This week the Spartans will head to Winter Park, Florida where they will take on the Rollins College Tars at 7:00 p.m. Then on Saturday, UT returns home, welcoming Palm Beach Atlantic for a 1:00 p.m. contest where the team will honor its seniors.
The Sunshine State Conference is well represented in the coaches poll. Saint Leo holds the No. 6 ranking, followed by UT at No. 8 and Florida Tech snagging No. 15.
