Conor Whipple Earns Season’s First SSC Player of the Week Honor

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Conor Whipple (So., Tampa, Fla.) of the University of Tampa is the Sunshine State Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. Jordan Carlock (Sr., Babylon, N.Y.) of the Florida Institute of Technology is named the SSC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

Whipple and Carlock were selected SSC Athletes of the Week from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of February 2 - 8.

Whipple helped the No. 4 Spartans start the 2015 campaign off with two wins, including a top-10 road win over Queens University (N.C.). The sophomore contributed three goals and two assists against Queens, and then four goals and two assists versus Tusculum. His seven goals came off 15 shots and nine shots on goal. Whipple was also able to limit his turnovers to two through the team's two games.
