Jonty Marshall Receives SSC Golfer of the Week Honors

MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa men's golfer Jonty Marshall was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Week for his performance at last week's Hurricane Invitational at Doublegate Golf & Country Club in Albany, Ga.

Marshall is named Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Hurricane Invitational at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Georgia. The Swede tied for second in a field of 90 golfers with a 6-under, 210, following rounds of 73-69-68. Marshall fell just one shot short of the lead and was the highest-finishing SSC athlete at the event. He bested 15 Top-100 NCAA Division II golfers at this year's event.

Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of February 27 - March 5, 2023. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
