High School: Coonce attended Tampa Bay Technical High School in Tampa, Florida. He became the first Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) at his school. He was also the president of Skills USA (Computer Repair Chapter).

Personal: James Coonce was born October 22, 1992 to Carla Coonce and James Black in Tampa, Fla. He is currently pursuing a degree in accounting and in his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, building computers and skateboarding.
