Chris Evans Named Second Team All-Region
CARROLLTON, Ga. - University of Tampa junior forward Chris Evans has been named a Daktronics second-team all-South Region selection, as announced on Wednesday. Evans was among a group of 11 players named to the group.
Evans, who hails from Tampa, played in 28 games this season and averaged 13.8 points per game. He was also second on the team in rebounding (8.0 rpg) and first in blocked shots (46). His 49 three-pointers led UT as his top performance was a 35-point night against West Georgia on November 18. Among his accomplishments this season was the scoring of his 1,000th point as he became the 18th player in Spartan history to reach the milestone.
