Tampa Baseball Garners Four All-Americans Ahead of NCAA Championships Opener
GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Tampa baseball student-athletes B.J. Bailey, Robert Satin, Jhoander Irigoyen, and Brayden Woodburn earned 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America honors, as announced Friday by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Bailey was named a first-team starting pitcher, while Satin collected second-team honors. Irigoyen and Woodburn each earned third-team recognition for the Spartans, who are competing this week at the NCAA Division II National Championships at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
No. 2 Tampa opens play at the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday at 6 p.m. against Bentley at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
Bailey, a graduate left-hander from Woodruff, South Carolina, continued his dominant season by earning first-team All-America accolades after posting a 13-0 record with a 2.08 ERA across 103.2 innings. Bailey struck out 100 batters while limiting opponents to a .209 batting average.
Satin, a junior left-hander from Tampa, Florida, garnered second-team recognition after compiling a 12-2 record with a 2.53 ERA over 103.1 innings pitched. Satin recorded 109 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to a .240 batting average.
Irigoyen, a senior catcher from Winter Garden, Florida, earned third-team honors following a season in which he batted .377 with 16 doubles, 11 home runs, and 62 RBI while posting a .614 slugging percentage. Defensively, Irigoyen maintained a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage behind the plate.
Woodburn, a senior second baseman from Winter Springs, Florida, also secured third-team recognition after batting .375 with 72 hits, 67 runs scored, 46 RBI, and 19 stolen bases. Woodburn posted a .500 on-base percentage while starting all 54 games for the Spartans.
The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America teams featured 14 student-athletes participating in this year's NCAA Division II National Championships in Cary, North Carolina.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced on June 17, followed by the ABCA NCAA Division II Region All-Defensive teams on June 18. National Pitchers and Position Players of the Year for all divisions will be announced on June 22.
