ABCA Announces All-Region Teams, Including Seven Spartans

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Five University of Tampa baseball student-athletes earned 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II South All-Region honors, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Senior catcher Jhoander Irigoyen, senior second baseman Brayden Woodburn, senior outfielder Jordan Evans, graduate pitcher B.J. Bailey, and junior pitcher Robert Satin were all named to the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region First Team. Senior pitcher John Luke Glanton and junior relief pitcher/infielder Luke Fikar earned second-team recognition for the Spartans.

Tampa, currently 46-8 overall, placed seven total selections on the all-region teams following another dominant season that included an NCAA South 2 Regional championship and advancement to the NCAA Super Regional round.

Irigoyen, a senior from Winter Garden, Florida, earned first-team honors after batting .377 with 16 doubles, 11 home runs, and 62 RBI while posting a .614 slugging percentage. Behind the plate, Irigoyen committed zero errors in 341 total chances for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

Woodburn, a senior from Winter Springs, Florida, continued his standout campaign by batting .375 with 72 hits, 67 runs scored, 46 RBI, and 19 stolen bases. The second baseman also posted a .500 on-base percentage while starting all 54 games for the Spartans.

Evans, a senior outfielder from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, hit .361 with 15 doubles, seven triples, eight home runs, and 46 RBI. Evans added 24 stolen bases and a .603 slugging percentage while serving as one of Tampa's top offensive catalysts.

Bailey, a graduate left-hander from Woodruff, South Carolina, collected first-team honors after posting a 13-0 record with a 2.08 ERA in 103.2 innings pitched. Bailey struck out 100 batters while holding opponents to a .209 batting average.

Satin, a junior left-hander from Tampa, Florida, also garnered first-team recognition after compiling a 12-2 record with a 2.53 ERA over 103.1 innings. Satin recorded 109 strikeouts and limited opposing hitters to a .240 average.

Glanton, a senior right-hander from Metter, Georgia, earned second-team honors after registering a 12-2 record with a 2.87 ERA in 91.0 innings pitched.

Fikar, a junior from Tampa, Florida, was named the second-team relief pitcher after posting a 1.82 ERA with seven saves and 34 strikeouts across 34.2 innings out of the bullpen. Fikar also contributed offensively for the Spartans, batting .291 with 14 RBI in 35 appearances.

The ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams are selected by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and only first-team selections are eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors.
