Jhoander Irigoyen Named SSC Player of the Week
ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa senior baseball player Jhoander Irigoyen has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league office.
Irigoyen led Tampa with an .800 batting average across three games against Post University. He opened the series with a 3-for-4 night at the plate that included two home runs and three runs batted in. On Saturday, went 2-for-2 with 4 RBI, and reached base four times, before concluding the series with a 3-for-4 game on Sunday, drawing a walk and driving in 2 runs.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of February 9 - 15, 2026. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
