Bio

Tommy Lex enters his tenure as Head Student Manager for the University of Tampa, bringing a championship pedigree and a deep-rooted passion for the game from his time at Ocean City High School (NJ).

A 2023 graduate and former standout pitcher for the Ocean City Raiders, Tommy was a key fixture on the mound, known for his poise in high-stakes postseason matchups and his contributions to the "Water Dogs" summer league affiliate. He was named third-team all-conference as a senior.

Transitioning from the mound to the dugout, Tommy now applies his on-field expertise to the operational and developmental side of the Spartans' program. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Business Administration, bridging the gap between elite athletic performance and professional sports operations.

Beyond his work with the University, Tommy has dedicated himself to player development as an Assistant Coach for Venice Little League, where he focused on mentoring young athletes and refining their fundamentals. At Tampa, he serves as a vital link between the coaching staff and the roster, overseeing daily operations to ensure the Spartans maintain their standard of excellence.
