As a Freshman: Attended The University of Tampa where he redshirted in his first collegiate season.

High School: Attended Nature Coast Technical High School and played for ex-major league pitcher John Frascatore...Named first-team all-county and first team all-conference in his junior and senior years...Posted a 9-1 record with a 1.60 ERA while recording 83 strikeouts in 61 innings, and being named Sharks MVP as a senior...Set school record for batting average and home runs...Also played football and set the school record for passing yards...Named all-conference and all-county in basketball and team MVP as a senior...Sharks leading scorer with over 16 points per game...Played on Team One in the USSSA Perfect Game national championships relinquishing zero runs in 14 innings pitched...Pitched seven scoreless innings and hit three home runs...Helped team to 16U national championship in St. Augustine in 2007.
