Bio
Zaletel was a member of the first two baseball national championship teams at UT. Zaletel's two-year career at Tampa was marked by numerous awards and honors. These honors include being a First-Team All-American in 1993, a Second-Team All-American in 1992, South Region Player of the Year in 1992, selected to the NCAA Division II World Series All-Tournament team in 1992 and 1993, First-Team All-South Region in 1992 and 1993, selected to the NCAA South Regional All-Tournament team in 1993, SSC Player of the Year in 1992, and First Team All-SSC in 1992 and 1993. Zaletel holds the single-season record for doubles with 27 in 1992. Zaletel continued his baseball career in the Minor Leagues with the San Francisco Giants.
