Bio

Carlee Sanchez-Hegarty joined the University of Tampa staff in 2023 and currently serves as the Athletic Admissions Coordinator.

Sanchez-Hegarty provides support to coaches in meeting annual athletic recruitment goals. Counsel prospective applicants and their families on the admissions process, financial aid information, and opportunities at the university. Sanchez-Hegarty serves as a liaison between Athletics, Admissions, and Financial Aid to coordinate scholarships and ensure compliance with institutional and NCAA policies.

Prior to serving as the Athletic Admissions Coordinator, Sanchez-Hegarty spent one year in the Athletic Department as an Academic Mentor. In this role, she served as the academic mentor for the women’s cross country team and both the men's lacrosse and soccer teams.

Sanchez-Hegarty is a graduate of The University of Tampa, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice, was a student-athlete on the swim team, and achieved All-American status. Following her undergraduate career at The University of Tampa, Sanchez-Hegarty is currently pursuing a master's degree in Professional Communications and is set to graduate in May of 2026.
